Another year around the sun. Hello, year 26!
This year all I want is change, a significant positive change. I didn't live an awful past but it also wasn't fulfilling. Life has been meh and only meh. I can't complain too much because of all the blessings I am showered with and I promise to never forget them, but I have been too comfortable with living just to exist. You know what I mean? I want more to life! Maybe moving to a new country will bring excitement to me, or should I try to make more friends, go back to school, or even cut my long-ass 30inch hair....? Okay, so I did that. First things first I chopped off all my hair on my birthday. This simple step is a great beginning to a new journey... or whatever. lol. Anyways, I made a vlog. Watch and enjoy!

Let's get this game started!
What type of photography do I want to pursue and make a living off? I questioned myself. 3 weeks ago I came across a youtube video of Cynthia Linh (aka Instagram foodie-baddie) talking about her career as a full-time food photographer. Yes, food photographer, and yes, I came to the conclusion that I am going to become that too. But like why have I not put 2 + 2 together long ago, I mean duh I love photography and food, and I already have a Youtube channel dedicated to food vlogging but still, it did not come to me that food photography was a thing. I am woke! Anyways, here is my start. Scone and cinnamon roll are from a sweet lady who sells many fresh baked goods in a booth at QK Mall on Fridays.

Personally new to this pizza spot. Pizza Madness is where I decided to do my 3rd pizza review.
Watch my first impression here:

The Fish Market Maui - This restaurant understands how to serve tasty and fresh seafood sandwiches, tacos, poke, and any other fish dish you can think of. They offer locally caught fish every day, so it's as fresh as it gets! Their tuna melt is my favorite sandwich. The tuna mix is grilled to bring out the flavors. On onion buns, lettuces, tomato, caramelized onions, and cheese accompany the tuna mix. While you're there, try their baja fish taco! Oh, and there's the chowder. And then there's the lobster sandwich. Heck, just try everything!
Ba- Le - Not in the mood for a traditional American sandwich? A Vietnamese staple, the banh mi sandwich, is a must-try! What better location to find this delicacy than Ba - Le? You must visit one of the three places, one in Kihei, one in Wailuku, and one in Dairy Road. You may select from a variety of proteins and tastes, including teriyaki beef, fried fish, lemongrass chicken, vegetarian alternatives like avocado, and my personal favorite, lemongrass tofu. It's served on fresh-baked French bread with pickled daikon, carrots, parsley, and homemade mayo. If you prefer a more buttery and softer bite, replace the bread with a croissant for an extra $1.
Hawaiian Moons and Natural Foods - Hawaiian Moons serves some of the best organic, healthier sandwiches around! There are vegan and meat alternatives available, so everybody is welcome to sample this eatery. They include wraps, rolls, juices, and acai bowls on their menu in addition to sandwiches. They also include a salad bar and a hot bar. I could go on and on, but since we're talking about sandwiches, I'll highlight my personal favorite, the vegan portabello pesto panini. It's so good because it's made with things that aren't so nasty. The focaccia bread that comes with it is prepared by a local company called Blue Door Bread Company, and it's unique in that it's vegan and produced with only natural ingredients. How did I find out about this location? I used to work here so I knowwww lol!
808 on Main - Okay, so I had planned to visit this restaurant for a long but didn't. My sister brought leftovers of the spicy tuna melt panini home one day, and I ate that sandwich wishing I had visited this eatery sooner. I have had tuna melts before, except this place adds cheese on top of cheese, sambal aioli, and Anaheim and jalapeño peppers for a spicy kick. Its a comfort food for me.

Deep-dish pizza covered in a creamy sauce and loaded down with quality toppings. Lahaina Pizza Co. is the place to go to dine and be satisfied. This restaurant is located in front street Lahaina on the second floor just above T-shirt Factory, and across the front street seawall. With a fantastic view (if you're lucky enough to be seated right next to the windows), live music, a bar, and, of course, pizzas, this is a must-try. The "Shrimp Thermador" pizza is a must-try. I can finish a medium size pan with 6 slices by myself, and keep in mind that this is a deep dish. It is bad for my body but so good for my soul. I swear, editing this vlog was hard not to want pizza right after.

Got some cravings for some really good pies in Maui?
Until lately, I had never been a fan of pies. That is why I embarked on a pie quest. I had three different places and a local brand in mind before ever yelping "best pies on Maui": Sugar Beach Bake Shop, Maui Pie, Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop, and Pono Pies were my choice.
Sugar Beach Bake Shop - My old coworker used to rave about the pie from here with such passion. She, like myself, has a huge sweet tooth, so I knew she wasn't lying. I only tried two of their pies, one of which was a variety of key lime that I later realized I don't care for, but I thought it was tasty, just a little too lemony for my taste. However, the creamy pies are more satisfying to my tastebuds. The crumbly crust is what sets their pies apart from the 2 other shops. Rating 7.5 /10.
Maui Pie - Another coworker of mine informed me about this place and how delicious their banana cream pie is. Unfortunately, by the time I got to the shop, they had sold out of not just the banana cream pie, but also a lot of the other pies I was interested in, including the savory vegetable pot pie. That is to say, their pies are quite popular or that they prepare little batches each morning. Rating 7/10
Pono Pie- Hello my health geeks, this is the pie for you! Just get yourself one and thank me later. Rating 8/10
Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop - If you are hungry after a lengthy drive from town and maybe even detained in traffic, you should stop at this shop before continuing on through Lahaina. Order a burger, a sandwich, or one of their famous pies such as their banana cream pie. Rating 8.5/ 10

Conveniently located in a tourist spot around Asakusa, Tokyo, Wired Hotel is where I spent the last night of my solo trip. Attractions, restaurants, and even Don Quijote is only a walking distance from this hotel. My recommendation, Suzukien Asakusa, an ice cream shop specializing in matcha flavor with 7 levels of intensity to choose from. Only a 7-10 minute walk! Its stylish interior design gave me a definite idea of how I want my future home to look - mid-century modern.
If you ever want to stay at a hotel with a young urban vibe to it, Moxy Tokyo is where it's at.
Strolled around Asukayama Park. What a beautiful spot for cherry blossom viewing without people overcrowding the area making it peaceful and breathtaking.
Fushimi Inari Taisha
Hilton Nagoya.
Ginza, nothing I can afford here but I stumbled upon an art convention-event-community (whatever you want to call it) mainly focusing on photography. It was like a hipster neighborhood surrounded by coffee shops, books, and instagramable backgrounds. (yuck... I kinda belong here...)
I have traveled alone for the first time ever in a country that is full of wonders, Japan.
